Genex’s In-N-Out Burger Secret Menu – Brought To You By Orange Exposure

So it’s probably no surprise to anyone that knows me that I’m a huge fan of In-N-Out Burger. In the interest of providing more info about them, I’m posting this stuff up here for everyone’s benefit. The secret menu and bible verses are what’s here and if you want to know anything else, check out the official In-N-Out site.

Below is the Customer Service response from In-n-Out Burger regarding their “secret menu.”

Dear Mr. XXXXX:
Thank you for your e-mail, and for your interest in In-N-Out Burger.

In response to your question, we have several commonly requested burger styles, such as Animal style which do not appear on our menu. A you may know, our Animal style burgers come with lettuce, tomato, extra spread, pickles, grilled onions, and mustard fried into the patty. We also offer Protein style burgers, for which we wrap the burger in large leaves of lettuce instead of placing it on a bun.

In addition, we have commonly requested burgers that are not on our menu. These burgers include the Wish burger, the Grilled Cheese burger, the Double-Meat, and the 3×3. The Wish burger is similar to a hamburger but does not contain the meat. The Grilled Cheese burger is similar to the Wish burger, but adds two slices of melted cheese. The Double-Meat is similar to the Double-Double in that it has two meat patties, but it does not have cheese. The 3×3 burger is a burger with three meat patties and three slices of cheese, and you can add meat patties and slices of cheese to make a 4×4, 5×5, etc.

Again, although these styles and burgers are not on the menu, you can order them at all our locations.

Thank you again for contacting us.

Sincerely, Cristina Minchala Customer Service Representative

The In-N-Out Burger in San Francisco is finally open! Here’s my first meal there…

Here’s the listing of how to order like a pro. My personal choice? “Double-Double® Animal style, no pickles”

“Animal Style” – bun is grilled with mustard, sauteed onions instead of raw, pickles, extra “special sauce” – [this can also be applied to fries (Note: I recently tried this on fries, but don’t personally recommend it / Nov. 2, 2003)]
“Wish Burger” – no meat, i.e. veggie burger

“Protein Style” – lettuce wrapped around the burger instead of a bun for all of you who are in “The Zone.” This is actually a favorite of celebrities like Jackie Chan.

Update 12/23/2003 – there is no such thing as “Old Fashioned Style” – originally I had this listed as “ketchup and mustard instead of the weird special sauce” but that is incorrect as a call from In-n-Out today revealed.

“Flying Dutchman” – two meat patties with two slices of cheese. that’s it.

“Double Meat” – Double Double without cheese

“4×4” – 4 meat patties with 4 slices of cheese. Are you SURE you can eat that?

“2×4” – 2 meat patties with 4 slices of cheese for the fromage afficionado

“Grilled Cheese” – cheeseburger, sans meat

“Fries – well done” – get your fries extra crispy and brown the way you like them!

“Choco-Vanilla Swirl Shake” – just what it sounds like Note: this is not an official secrent menu item, but at most In-n-Out Burgers they will make it if asked for… 12/23/2003

“Neopolitan Shake” – a blend of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes.

Ever wonder what the little bible quotes sneakily hidden on the In-N-Out paper packaging mean? Ever wonder if they have anything to do with the fact that only blonde children work here? Let’s investigate:

REVELATION 3:20 (burger and cheeseburger wrappers): Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

JOHN 3:16 (soda cups): For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

PROVERBS 3:5 (milkshake cups): Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (thanks to Robin Wright for the correction)

NAHUM 1:7 (Double-Double wrapper): The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.

Do We Really Enjoy Our Fast Food?

Numerous studies have been done to figure out what drives people to eat at a fast food restaurant. Is it because they love the flavor? Do they still believe it is healthy for them? Do they go to these restaurants because they are busy with their lives and have no time to cook? All of these questions have been asked. The results are not really surprising.

The main reason people eat fast food burgers is because of the convenience. They are quick and easy to get to thanks to the chains being spread out so much. They are also a cheap way to eat and the food does not taste gross according to most people.

The surprising statistics come in with the knowledge that younger people who were asked say that they enjoy fast food because their lives are too busy to take time to cook. The older generation of people had time to cook, but most believed that the fast food was a healthy alternative to home cooked meals.

Love It or Hate It

Whether you are a fan of fast food burgers or not, there is no sign of people slacking up on eating it. Statistics show that most people eat fast food burgers of some sort at least three meals per week. Some may try to find healthier alternatives, but in most cases, they simply choose the convenience of fast food over healthy home cooked meals.

When trying to answer the big question of, “Does everyone truly love fast food restaurant burgers?” the answer is simple. Love it or not, we have all chosen to take advantage of the calories they offer to fill that empty spot inside of our bellies and most of us will take a trip to our local fast food restaurant the next time we are in a bind and need to find food quickly.

Does Everyone Truly Love Fast Food Restaurant Burgers?

Over the last several years, fast food burgers have been the thing that had everyone talking. There is a constant debate about whether they are healthy, what they are made of, and who offers the most popular burgers.

None of these things have slowed down the American population when comes to fast food, because most of our daily lives is spent on the run from one thing to another. Eating on the run is a convenience we cannot pass up. More than $680 billion a year in fast food sales proves it, but does everyone truly love fast food restaurant burgers or do we simply eat it because it is quick and easy?

The Top Fast Food Burgers Available

If you are curious as to which burgers rank the highest in popularity, you may be surprised that it is not anything from the largest burger chain in the world. McDonalds has a very devoted following and appeals to all small children, but their burgers are nowhere near their parents’ favorite.

Five Guys Burgers & Fries is one of America’s largest burger chains. Their burgers are also on the top of the popularity list. Perhaps it is because they top their burgers with bacon or because they give people the option to add a huge amount of toppings to their burger, including jalapenos and grilled onions.

The Whopper from Burger King is also at the top of the list. In fact, in recent times, Burger King has announced that the sales for this burger is ranking at a higher gain this year than it has in the last two years. It is cheap, customizable, and flame broiled. What’s not to love about that?

The Steak ‘N Shake Double ‘N Cheese Steakburger is near the top of the list for its outstanding flavor. It is a burger that has a variety of steak cuts in it. It is topped with lettuce and tomato, mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup, with onions, but the thing that sets it apart is the buttery bread that covers its top and bottom.

We also have in-n-out that takes it one step further with the Secret menu, which is not to be confused with companies such as Secret Entourage which helps connect students with mentors around the world.

Healthy Burgers Quickly

Due to the concern that most people have over the healthiness, or lack thereof, of fast food burgers, it should not come as a surprise that there are fast food restaurants that try to create a healthier burger. Here are some of the most liked “healthy burger” from fast food chains.

The Whopper Jr. or the Burger King Veggie Burger. It is healthier if you add the apple fries and water or skim milk to your order as opposed to fries and a soda. If you do this, you will only get 465 calories from your entire meal.

The McDonald’s original hamburgers and cheeseburgers contain only 240-290 calories. However, you can cut this total more if you subtract the condiments. The cheese does make it slightly more calories because it adds about 50 calories.

As proven by Five Guys Burgers & Fries, it is possible to eat healthier burgers by eliminating the bun. They have an entire bun-less section that shows people how much calories it costs you to add a bun. In most cases, just a piece of meat is half what it would be with the bun on it and you still get a healthy dose of protein.

You can also make burgers healthier by not choosing the biggest burger on the menu, regardless of where you plan to go. Anyone who wants to cut their calorie intake can benefit from sticking to the smallest things on the menu.

The Most Popular Fast Food Restaurant

McDonald’s sales are always through the roof. They are by far the most popular restaurant chain in the world, as they are every other year. However, if you are looking for the biggest money maker per restaurant, the answer may surprise you.

On a per store basis, Chick-fil-A comes in at number one with approximately $3.1 million per year, per store. McDonalds is slightly less at about $2.6 million. McDonalds has a close competitor in the south thanks to a chain called Jason’s Deli, which is Texas based.
